The Amending Regulation provides certain amendments to the Regulation on Workplace Opening and Operation Licenses (“Regulation“), that was issued by the Council of Ministers’ Decree dated 14 July 2005 and numbered 2005/9207.

The important headings of the Amending Regulation are as follows:

  • With the Amending Regulation, the term “4 years” in Provisional Article 5/1 of the Regulation has been amended to “5 years”.8
  •  In this regard, according to Provisional Article 5/1 of the Regulation, situations contrary to the provisions of Article 12 (“Internet lounges cannot operate on floors below ground levels”), which is one of the provisions added by the amendment to the Regulation introducing Provisional Article 5/1 and located in the subsection titled “f-Internet Lounges” in the section titled “E- Coffee House, Country Coffee House, Game Hall, Internet Lounge, Tea Garden, Tea House and Similar Workplaces” under the chapter titled “Qualifications to be sought for Sanitary Establishments according to their Classes and Characteristics” in Annex-1 of the Regulation, shall be brought into compliance with the relevant provision within 5 years.  

In addition, along with the Amending Regulation, the phrase “and the buildings registered as a single independent section in accordance with the third paragraph of Article 10 of the Law No. 634” has been added after the phrase “bazaars with cultural characteristics” in paragraph (1.1) of Article 1 of the “R- Jewelry Trading Workplaces” under the chapter titled “Qualifications to be sought for Sanitary Establishments according to their Classes and Characteristics” in Annex-1 of the Regulation.
