Moroğlu Arseven’s new hiring season sees Nilay Göker, LL.M., join the firm as Counsel. The firm’s Partners collectively welcome Nilay, noting that her proven track record advising a range of clients about mergers and acquisitions, private equity and complex financing structures within transactional matters will complement the firm’s capabilities in these areas.
Other recent staff developments see promotions within the Moroğlu Arseven team and recruitment of staff at all levels. The firm wishes long prosperous careers for all involved.
Nilay has nine years’ experience advising clients on a full range of corporate and commercial transactions and daily legal matters. Nilay acts as a senior legal advisor during general corporate law advisory services, as well as during merger and acquisition projects. She focuses particularly on corporate, mergers and acquisition, private equity, banking, finance and capital markets, and energy matters.
Nilay is particularly experienced counselling banks and lending institutions regarding credit facilities and other complex financing matters on the Turkish law aspects. She regularly advises financial institutions about equity financing and tax structuring, including private debt investors and lenders.
Nilay supports international and local clients on both buy and sell-side transactions. Accordingly, she is experienced counselling clients to structure and negotiate financing arrangements within transactional matters, focusing specifically on appropriate risk allocation and strategic commercial considerations. Nilay also has broad experience advising clients on compliance with capital markets regulations, during transactions or daily operations.

Two of the firm’s Associates have been promoted to Senior Associate:
– Pelin Oğuzer joined the firm in 2010, with her practice concentrating on corporate and commercial law. Pelin has a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint-ventures, angel investments and project finance.
– Yonca Çelebi joined the firm in 2012, with her practice spanning all aspects of intellectual property. Yonca primarily supports clients with trademark portfolios, licensing and intellectual property litigation matters.
The firm welcomes two new associates hired to support the corporate and intellectual property teams. The new team members join large teams providing clients with legal guidance in highly complex, inter-jurisdictional business situations, which require strategic as well as legal input. Three legal interns who have completed their training with the firm have also been hired to permanent positions as first year Associates. The three will work within the firm’s corporate, litigation and compliance practices.
Finally, the firm welcomes six new Legal Interns, who will work with the firm as part of the Bar Association admission process. The new team-members will work across all of the firm’s practice areas.
