Partner E. Seyfi Moroğlu, is one of the key members who established the Entrepreneurs’ Organization in Turkey. As a founding board member and general secretary of the association, Seyfi joined EO just this year and immediately began to assist in forming a new chapter in Istanbul.
EO is a global business network of 8,000+ business owners with 121 chapters and 40 countries. Founded in 1987 by a group of young entrepreneurs, EO enables small and large business owners to learn from each other, leading to greater business success and an enriched personal life.
As the newest EO chapter, Istanbul will host the EO University next week when over 700 members will come together to learn and socialize. It will also coincide with celebrations to mark EO’s 25th year as an organization.
Though Turkey is not in the top G20 countries and is ranked 43rd in the Global Entrepreneurship Index its position is expected to rise. Entrepreneurs have always been a backbone of the Turkish economy, but Turkey’s increasingly global outlook means that many sectors, such as tourism, financial services and energy will continue to expand.
Membership in EO is by invitation only, requires at least $1 million in annual company revenue and is open only to business owners, partners or shareholders.
Moroğlu Arseven is also pleased to be involved with newly-established DAV-Avukatlar Derneği, or the German-Turkish Lawyers’ Association. Dr. Moroğlu is a member of its Executive Committee while partner E. Benan Arseven is a member of the Audit Committee.
